So, this sketchlog is finally open. I know, it might look like a cheap excuse for a real artsite but a) I don't have many finished pieces which was the reason I closed my artsite in the first place, b) I am too lazy to redo my old artsite, c) I am too lazy to write an email to my host so that my site will be put online again (>_>). c) I think it's a good idea anyways.
I hope it does give me the motivation I desperately need. And I also hope to get some input =).

I'll probably switch between English and German, whatever I feel like.

Oh my, my poor sketchblog, forgotten by all, especially me.

I have quite a bit to catch up to (but not as much as I'd like to =/), so let's start with something super fresh. Started today, finished today. Inspired by my sister's purchase of Street Fighter IV! I'm just a beat'em'up girl at heart XD. I knwo I could've chosen one of the "pretty" guys, but I enjoy playing with Sagat, he's powerful after all. And even pretty gets boring after a while =P


Yeah, it's a speedy and it kinda sucks. I like the tiger but I had reference for it so it doesn't really count. I had to enlarge his hand twice because Street Fighter hands are super huge.
And it's similar in style with my Blade of the Immortal fanarts, but I'm not sure how strongly I want to go in that direction.

Looks like the hand is not too big after all!
(Need to fix the anatomy reeeeaaaally badly. And the outfit.)

...that your heads will explode! Ok, it's not as much as I had thought before scanning and all that O_o. Somebody stop me from being lazy please!
I'm so behind everything here though, I'm truly sorry! Once again I have nothing finished to offer you, but I hope you can still enjoy it.

@ artflower: Sorry, ich hatte in den letzten Tagen meine Kopf nur voll mit einem Referat. Irgendwie hab ich voll Probleme damit, eine Märchenheldin zu finden, die ich mag und nicht zu obskur ist XD. Ich würd mich aber über was Mythologisches freuen. So Artemis/Diana wär cool, oder eine Nymphe. Ich hätt aber auch nix gegen was aus der nordischen oder keltischen Mythologie. Oh Mann, ich krieg grad selbst Lust ne Götterreihe zu machen XD.

I've picked up two older wips lately and I guess they have a good chance of getting finished one day.
#1 was started last year already and then forgotten. I still like the concept and had a strange urge to paint landscapes.

I changed the overall colour hue of the image, though I have to change the colour of the sky further to create a stronger contrast. I also sketched in (very roughly) some buildings, so now you know where I want this painting to go to.

#2 can be seen in an earlier version just a few posts below. I was unhappy with the composition and so stretched the canvas a good deal to make it work. The background got darker, too, but I'm not sure if I've overdone it.

The floor is mostly finished, I'll only add a few highlights later. Right now I'm in the middle of painting the long piece of fabric and don't see any end coming soon.
